Inter Milan<\/a> have confirmed the appointment of Simone Inzaghi as head coach. Inzaghi replaces Antonio Conte who resigned<\/a> despite leading Inter Milan to the Serie A title.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi exits Lazio after five years in charge. In that time he guided Lazio back to the Champions League <\/a>and secured consistent top seven finishes. He decided to reverse his decision on signing a new deal to take the reins at Inter. Lazio confirmed Inzaghi decided against signing a new deal having intially stated his intention to stay on<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi has signed a two year deal at the San Siro. His contract runs until 2023.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi Inherits the Current Serie A Champions<\/h3>\n

The 45 year-old coach has been one of Serie A\u2019s most consistent managers in recent seasons. He has played an integral in Lazio\u2019s return to the Champions League as well as establishing an attacking style of play.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi will be aware expectations are going to increase with Inter Milan looking to compete on all fronts next season. They will look to retain the league title and progress beyond the group stage in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

However, Inzaghi is likely to face severe restrictions on finances with Inter looking to downsize their squad and generate more funds. This is certainly part of Antonio Conte\u2019s decision to call time on his two years. It will be a tough job for Inzaghi keeping his key players but he will enjoy the challenge ahead.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi inherits a squad full of talent and experience. They are title winners and have a winning mentality instilled by winning trophies. Inzaghi will look to the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez to maintain their form and success.<\/p>\n

Adapting to Inzaghi\u2019s style shouldn\u2019t be to much of a problem for the players. Like Conte, Inzaghi has used a back three to great success and he will likely continue that style at Inter.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi and Inter seem a good fit but he faces a tough job. He will be tasked with bringing continued success under stricter rules. Despite this, Inzaghi will fancy he can continue the good times at the San Siro.<\/p>\n
