With the turbulent 2020\/21 season completed, clubs need to start focusing on bolstering their squads for the next campaign. Early on, teams will try and get cut-rate transfers over the line. And, with Robbie Brady and Burnley parting ways in the summer, the 29-year-old is available for free.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celtic, Southampton, Crystal Palace, and Watford Want Robbie Brady<\/span><\/h2>\n

Host of Clubs Vying Free Transfer<\/span><\/h3>\n

Brady is officially leaving Burnley at the season’s conclusion<\/span><\/a>, as a new contract is not in the works. The versatile left-midfielder and talented set-piece taker is wanted by a handful of clubs. A free transfer for the Irish player of the year in 2016 would be shrewd business for any of the sides linked.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0<\/span>Record Sport<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and Football Fancast<\/a>,\u00a0Scottish giants Celtic<\/a> and Premier League sides Southampton<\/a>, Crystal Palace<\/a>, and Watford<\/a> all want his signature. No club has a clear upper hand in negotiations as of now. Come 1st July, barring any shocks, he will know his next club.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie Brady Still Has Lots to Offer Despite Injury-Stricken Burnley Time<\/span><\/h3>\n

The former Manchester United U23 midfielder signed for Hull City in 2013 for \u00a32.25 million. Two years later, he moved to Norwich City for nearly \u00a39 million. Following 62 appearances for Norwich City, contributing seven goals and eight assists, he moved to Burnley in the January of 2017 for around \u00a313 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Brady, an injury in the December of his first year with Burnley set the tone for his Turf Moor stay. He has only made 21 starts since obtaining the serious knee injury. After having time to recover, Brady is ready to take the next step at this pivotal junction in his career.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brady offers an attacking threat going forward as well as the ability to play as a left-back if necessary. His set-piece prowess is a trait many clubs will be intrigued by. And besides, even if he is not a consistent starter for any of these clubs, having a player with 160 Premier League appearances under his belt is useful for depth. The gamble of bringing Brady in on a free transfer, in hopes that his injuries will stay away and that he can rediscover his best form, could be a risk worth taking.<\/span><\/p>\n
