Hannes Wolf has overseen the team and will bow out of his caretaker role after this weekend\u2019s final league game against\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/category\/bundesliga\/borussia-dortmund\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Borussia Dortmund<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Seoane arrives fresh off collecting his second Swiss Super League title with Young Boys.\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bayer04_en\/status\/1394933483324289025\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He has signed a contract at Leverkusen which will run until 2024<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bayer Leverkusen Appoint Gerardo Seoane as Club\u2019s New Head Coach<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Seoane Arrives After Three Successful Years at Young Boys<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Seoane has spent all of his career in his home nation of Switzerland both as a player and manager. He played for the likes of Luzern, Grasshoppers and Sion. Seoane moved into coaching and began his career at Luzern taking charge of several youth teams before getting the main job in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He guided Luzern to third place in his sole season in charge before taking over Young Boys. He replaced current Eintracht Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter at Young Boys and continued the success Hutter started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Seoane has won two league titles in both seasons in charge. He also led the club to the Swiss domestic double in the 2019\/20 season and also guided the club to the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/category\/champions-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Champions League<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0group stage for the first time in their history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Seoane will inherit a Bayer Leverkusen side who will finish sixth in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen will finish sixth after a strong finish to the season under caretaker manager Hannes Wolf. Die Werkself have collected 12 points from Wolf\u2019s seven matches in charge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The club will compete in the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/category\/europa-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Europa League<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0next season but Seoane will be tasked with creating a winning team capable of challenging for Champions League football.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Leverkusen\u2019s new coach plays exciting, on the edge attacking football. His credentials speak for themselves but certainly, this will be a challenge for the little-known coach. He fits the profile of manager Leverkusen like to appoint. He will be given the tools to build a vibrant, attacking team.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gerardo Seoane Appointment Continues the Bundesliga Managerial Merry-go-Round<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bayer Leverkusen have become the latest side to announce a new manager for the 2021\/22 season. As it stands six of the Bundesliga\u2019s top eight will start next season with new managers. Some due to their manager joining a Bundesliga rival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/04\/26\/julian-nagelsmann-looks-set-to-replace-hansi-bayern-munich\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bayern Munich will start next season under the leadership of Julian Naglesmann<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0with his current side RB Leipzig appointing Jesse Marsch as his replacement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Marco Rose is swapping Borussia Monchengladbach for Borussia Dortmund. While Adi Hutter is moving to Borussia Monchengladbach leaving the Eintracht Frankfurt position vacant. The Eagles continue to source candidates with Hutter\u2019s official replacement yet to be confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gerardo Seoane\u2019s appointment at Bayer Leverkusen is the latest arrival in this amazing Bundesliga managerial merry-go-round.
