Replacing arguably the best young manager around is no easy task, but bringing Jesse Marsch in<\/a> as the Julian Nagelsmann replacement may be as close as you\u2019re going to get to the German\u2019s genius. Crucially, too, appointing Marsch keeps the job in the Red Bull family. <\/span><\/p>\n

Marsch knows how the Red Bull ownership works; he even knows most of the RB Leipzig players having previously been the assistant manager. Many believed that, once Nagelsmann\u2019s tenure was up, Leipzig would slip out of any talk of a title.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Marsch, the next in line for the job brings with him key connections and a wealth of knowledge of both the club and football management as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

Challenging Nagelsmann\u2019s Bayern Munich<\/a> side will be an uphill battle next season, but one Marsch will be ready for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marsch: The Ideal Julian Nagelsmann Replacement <\/span><\/h2>\n

Salzburg Connections<\/span><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s an undeniable fact that Red Bull Salzburg have acted as a breeding ground for some of the best young talents in recent times. Just look at Erling Haaland-<\/a> a player who thrived under Marsch for a brief period of time. Then take a look at Takumi Minamino. Although he is still yet to find his feet in the Premier League,<\/a> Marsch got the best out of him at Salzburg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps more importantly from a Leipzig point of view, however, is the form shown by Hee-chan Hwang and Dominik Szoboszlai<\/a> under Marsch at Salzburg. Hwang scored 16 goals and assisted a further 22 in the 19\/20 season before departing to Leipzig.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since that move, he has been limited to just 21 appearances in Germany after failing to impress. Bringing Marsch in could see the forward shine once more in a similar system.<\/span><\/p>\n

And there\u2019s the case of Szoboszlai- the young Hungarian tipped for greatness. The left-midfielder is yet to make an appearance for Leipzig due to injury- meaning his first game could, in fact, come next season under Marsch.<\/span><\/p>\n

In One and half seasons under the American, Szoboszlai was involved in 50 goals in 62 appearances in all competitions. It is worth mentioning, too, that he did all of this before reaching the age of 21.<\/span><\/p>\n

When handed the opportunity in Germany, he\u2019ll undoubtedly improve on those numbers- especially if under Julian Nagelsmann replacement Jesse Marsch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesse Marsch Becoming the Nagelsmann Replacement is the Natural Next Step<\/span><\/h3>\n

A handful of players have made that crucial next step in their careers, from Salzburg to a top six league. Now, Marsch is making that all-important next step to Leipzig.<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u2019ll be without Dayot Upamecano, who is off to Bayern with Nagelsmann, and potentially Konate, too, but he has the experience to deal with departures. At Salzburg, he lost the foundations of his team. Haaland, Minamino and Hwang all departed. Yet his side still remained top of the Austrian Bundesliga. <\/span><\/p>\n

That, alone, is evidence of how he can breeze through a transitional period and why he should be the Julian Nagelsmann replacement. And he did all of that without additional funds. Just think what he\u2019ll be able to do with some money to play with.<\/span><\/p>\n
