Swansea City Return to Winning Ways in Style<\/h3>\n

Swansea put an end to a run of four consecutive losses with a dominant performance and subsequent\u00a0<\/span>3-0 result<\/span><\/a>\u00a0against\u00a0<\/span>Millwall<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brentford ended a run of four straight draws with an emphatic\u00a0<\/span>5-0 away<\/span><\/a>\u00a0win at\u00a0<\/span>Preston North End<\/span><\/a>\u00a0– a result that keeps the Bees in contention for the decisive second spot.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo<\/span><\/a>\u00a0fired the visitors into an early ninth-minute lead before\u00a0<\/span>Marcus Forss<\/span><\/a>\u00a0tapped in a second just before the 30-minute mark.\u00a0<\/span>Ivan Toney<\/span><\/a>\u00a0had to wait until the 75th minute to get onto the scoresheet when he nodded in Tarique Fosu’s floated cross. Brentford remain nine points off Watford in second, but possess a game in hand on them and also host the Bees on the penultimate game of the season. The visitors pushed hard for a late comeback, but\u00a0<\/span>Chris Willock<\/span><\/a>\u00a0sealed the three points in stoppage time in clinical fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n

QPR still sit 12 points from the play-offs with a game in hand, but their focus will be on setting themselves up for a potential top-six push next season. For Sheffield Wednesday, time is running out. They are now seven points from safety with a mere six games left to play.<\/span><\/p>\n
