With players coming back from international duty, a few problems might arise, especially with COVID. Pay close attention to team news and have at least two playing options on the bench.<\/p>\n
Edouard Mendy<\/a> is definitely the best choice on paper this week. Chelsea have been very solid under Thomas Tuchel and have kept four clean sheets in a row. Opponents West Bromwich Albion struggle a lot in front of goal and have scored only once in the last five. Chelsea have a nice run of fixtures till the end of the season as well so Mendy could be a good option for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n Emiliano Mart\u00ednez<\/a> has a decent fixture this week as well. However, Fulham will be desperate to get a result at Villa Park so it won’t be easy for the Argentine. The potential is there for him to get a good return though.<\/p>\n One could consider Illan Meslier<\/a> as well who has a great chance to keep a clean sheet against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United.<\/p>\n As stated above, Chelsea possess a brilliant defensive record. Their defenders are all worthy options. C\u00e9sar Azpilicueta<\/a> and Antonio R\u00fcdiger<\/a> are the safest choices. Marcos Alonso<\/a>\u00a0has a very good chance to start this Saturday for\u00a0Chelsea<\/a>.\u00a0Ben Chilwell<\/a>\u00a0played the whole game for England on\u00a0Wednesday night<\/a> so Thomas Tuchel might decide to go with Alonso for this one. He has shown his attacking prowess over the years and against defensive-minded teams like West Brom, he will roam forward quite a lot \u2013 an attacking return is also quite possible. One could take a punt on Alonso. There is a very good chance of a high return.<\/p>\n Lucas Digne<\/a> is a good option this week against goal-shy Crystal Palace. However, Everton’s poor home record will worry his FPL owners.<\/p>\n Stuart Dallas<\/a> has a decent chance of a clean sheet as well.<\/p>\n Those holding Manchester City<\/a> defenders might consider selling them for Chelsea defenders this week. City have all but wrapped up the title and Pep Guardiola<\/a> have rotated them in every game. With the Champions League around, this seems to be a good time to move away from their players. Luke Shaw<\/a> is also a decent option to replace them as he’s been in great form.<\/p>\n Bruno Fernandes<\/a> has an excellent record against this week\u2019s opponents, Brighton. He has scored\u00a0three goals in two matches<\/a>\u00a0against the Seagulls.\u00a0Manchester United<\/a>\u00a0have won\u00a0the last five matches<\/a>\u00a0against them as well.<\/p>\n Brighton\u2019s possession-based style should suit the Red Devils as they can pick them off on fast counters. Fernandes is a brilliant captaincy option this week.<\/p>\n Raphinha<\/a>\u00a0has performed very well in recent weeks and got himself a goal last week too. Rock-bottom Sheffield United seem to be great candidates for\u00a0Leeds United<\/a>\u00a0to dominate.<\/p>\n However, this is a Yorkshire derby and despite the Blades\u2019 abysmal position on the points table, they have fought hard in matches. They have\u00a0won on both of their last two visits<\/a>\u00a0to Elland Road as well. So, a tight game could be in prospect.<\/p>\n Mason Mount<\/a> should be considered as a consistent performer. He has a great fixture this week. Kai Havertz<\/a> has played as the striker in recent weeks and could be a decent option also.<\/p>\n Diogo Jota<\/a> and Jesse Lingard<\/a> are in form but have tricky fixtures to navigate this week.<\/p>\n Harry Kane<\/a> is perhaps the best candidate for the armband this week on paper.\u00a0Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>\u00a0have a great fixture this week and should get the three points. However, Newcastle\u2019s defensive approach could prove to be a problem.<\/p>\n Earlier in the season, Steve Bruce<\/a>\u2019s men managed a\u00a01-1 draw<\/a>\u00a0at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The availability of\u00a0Son Heung-min<\/a> should return which should help Kane. On a positive note, Kane scored a brace last time he played<\/a>\u00a0at St. James\u2019 Park.
