Celtic<\/a> interim manager John Kennedy has confirmed that the club will look to resolve the future of Odsonne Edouard in the summer.<\/p>\n

Celtic to Resolve Odsonne Edouard Situation This Summer<\/h2>\n

Kennedy Expects Interest<\/h3>\n

Edouard signed for the club in 2018 for a club-record fee of \u00a39 million and is entering the final year of his contract at the end of this season.<\/p>\n

Amid links<\/a> with Leicester City<\/a> Kennedy confirmed that no decision has been made on the striker’s future and that the club will look to resolve the situation in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of Celtic’s clash with Dundee United on Sunday, the interim boss told BBC Sport’s<\/a> Jane Lewis: “I’ve no doubt there will be interest in Odsonne, as there was last season and all the time he’s been here, but ultimately the club will do the right thing for themselves. <\/span>We want to keep him for as long as we can because of the talent he’s got.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“There ultimately comes a point, whether contractually or the player’s motivation, when you have to sit down and address that and that will be done in the summer.”<\/p>\n

Recent Form Attracting Clubs<\/h3>\n

The French U21 international has recently gained form after a slow start to the season, scoring nine goals in his last nine games and earning the SPFL player of the month award for February.<\/p>\n

On the 23-year-old’s form, Kennedy said: “It’s just that consistency and level of performance because in my opinion he’s the best striker in the country. For him, it’s about showing everyone the level he can get to.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’ve seen players in the past who’ve been here and shown they can kick on and do well. For him now it’s having that real killer instinct and continually showing his level and if he does that then goodness knows where it will take him”, the interim boss continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brendan Rodgers is reported<\/a> to be confident that Leicester can agree on a fee with his previous club Celtic.<\/p>\n

With a potential fee in the region of \u00a315 million, interest is likely to be shown for the SPFL’s top scorer. With 21 goals so far this season in a Celtic side that has been struggling for form throughout the season offers from other clubs seem inevitable.<\/p>\n
