Chelsea<\/a> produced a five-star display against Bristol City<\/a>, after beating the Vixens 5-0 to move them five points clear at the top of the Women\u2019s Super League.<\/a><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Super League Round-Up: Five-Star Performance From Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Five-Star Chelsea Outclass Bristol City in Women’s Super League<\/h3>\n

Chelsea cruised to a 5-0 victory over bottom club Bristol City at Twerton Park thanks to Fran Kirby<\/a>\u2019s brace and a goal each from Pernille Harder<\/a>, Sam Kerr<\/a> and Bethany England<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The result takes them up to 38 points from 15 games \u2013 five clear of Manchester City<\/a>, who have a game in hand over the Blues.<\/p>\n

Kirby broke the deadlock with a deft header in the 14th\u00a0minute, before Harder rifled home a close-range finish following some brilliant link-up play with Sophie Ingle<\/a> to make it 2-0 in the 36th minute.<\/p>\n

The west Londoners killed the game off as a contest in the 40th\u00a0minute, as Kirby got her second of the match with a tidy finish.<\/p>\n

Kerr got in on the act ten minutes after the restart with a header from England\u2019s cross, before the latter added her name to the scoresheet after sliding in her effort at the near post on the hour mark.<\/p>\n

The result ends a brief revival for Matt Beard\u2019s side, who had gone unbeaten in their last three games across all competitions, and sit two points adrift of West Ham United<\/a> at the bottom of the table having played one game more than the Hammers.<\/p>\n

Reading and Everton share the spoils<\/h3>\n

Reading and Everton<\/a> shared the spoils at the Madejski Stadium, as Nicoline Sorensen<\/a>\u2019s header cancelled out Rachel Rowe\u2019s strike to earn the Toffees a point.<\/p>\n

Rowe volleyed the ball into an empty net in the 34th minute following a mix-up in the Toffees defence, but Sorensen\u2019s brilliant header in the 77th minute ensured Willie Kirk\u2019s side left Berkshire with a point.<\/p>\n

The result leaves Everton fifth and Reading sixth, with both tied on 19 points, but the Merseysiders have two games in hand over the Royals.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa v Arsenal Postponed<\/h3>\n

The other scheduled Women\u2019s Super League<\/a> fixture between Aston Villa and Arsenal at the Banks\u2019s Stadium was postponed due to a frozen pitch.<\/a><\/p>\n

There is now a two-week international break in the women\u2019s game, with the next scheduled Women\u2019s Super League fixtures due to take place on February 28.<\/p>\n
