Chelsea<\/a> take on Arsenal<\/a> in what is the pick of the Women\u2019s Super League fixtures taking place on February 10, with the league leaders looking to bounce back from a shock 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.<\/a><\/p>\n

Chelsea Host Arsenal in the Women’s Super League<\/h2>\n

Chelsea Looking to Bounce Back From Shock Defeat Against Arsenal<\/h3>\n

The Blues record 33-match unbeaten run was ended by Brighton<\/a> on February 7 and Emma Hayes will be looking for a response from her side that has otherwise been in imperious form this season.<\/p>\n

Prior to that defeat, the Chelsea had won their last 10 matches in all competitions, which has seen them progress to the Continental League Cup Final, qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League and reach the summit of the Women\u2019s Super League.<\/p>\n

They are nine points ahead of an Arsenal side sitting fourth, who will need to bounce back<\/a> from a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City<\/a> on February 7.<\/p>\n

It was the first match in three weeks for Joe Montemurro\u2019s side following two weather-related postponements, and the Gunners need a win to reignite their slim title prospects.<\/p>\n

The two clubs shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in this season\u2019s reverse fixture<\/a> at Meadow Park on November 15.<\/p>\n

Birmingham City v Aston Villa<\/a><\/h3>\n

Birmingham City host their second city rivals Aston Villa at the SportNation.bet stadium in the first of the matches on February 10, with both sides looking to pull further clear of danger.<\/p>\n

City head into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw away at Everton on February 7<\/a>, with Jamie-Lee Napier<\/a> on target to cancel out Danielle Turner<\/a>\u2019s opener.<\/p>\n

Villa boosted their survival prospects on February 6 thanks to a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>– Mana Iwabuchi<\/a>\u2019s superb long-range strike secured all three points for Marcus Bignot\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

Birmingham and Villa sit eighth and ninth respectively with 10 points apiece, but tonight\u2019s visitors have played two games more than their rivals.<\/p>\n

Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham United<\/a><\/h3>\n

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome West Ham United to The People\u2019s Pension Stadium in another big bottom-of-the-table clash.<\/p>\n

Albion will be aiming to achieve a first league double of the season after edging<\/a> out the Hammers with a 1-0 victory at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on November 15.<\/p>\n

Hope Powell\u2019s team head into the game after arguably their best-ever Women\u2019s Super League result \u2013 beating Chelsea 2-1 on February 7.<\/p>\n

That stunning victory moved Brighton up to eighth, but they are still very much in a fight for survival as the four teams below the Seagulls all have games in hand over Powell\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

West Ham are in a precarious position themselves and were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Bristol City on February 7. Katerina Svitkova<\/a> equalised after Emily van Egmond<\/a>\u2019s own goal \u2013 a result that leaves the Hammers 11th in the table heading into tonight\u2019s clash.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur v Bristol City<\/h3>\n

Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> will be aiming to recover from back-to-back defeats when they welcome Bristol City to The Hive.<\/p>\n

Spurs head into the contest after 4-0 and 1-0 defeats to Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively, which came after a run of three consecutive victories following Rehanne Skinner\u2019s appointment as head coach.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, City will look to extend their unbeaten Women\u2019s Super League run to three games after a 3-0 win over Brighton<\/a> and that aforementioned 1-1 draw with West Ham.<\/p>\n

Matt Beard\u2019s side have the added incentive knowing that a win could be enough to propel themselves off the foot of the table, depending on West Ham\u2019s result away at Brighton.<\/p>\n
