There is a full programme of Women\u2019s Super League<\/a> action taking place this weekend, and arguably the pick of the fixtures sees Arsenal<\/a> host Manchester City<\/a> at Meadow Park on February 7 \u2013 kick-off 2.30 pm GMT.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Super League Preview: Arsenal Take on Manchester City<\/h2>\n

First Women’s Super League Match in Three Weeks for Arsenal Against Manchester City<\/h3>\n

It is set to be Arsenal\u2019s first match in three weeks after their previously arranged fixtures at home to West Ham United<\/a> and away at Aston Villa<\/a> fell victim to weather-related postponements.<\/p>\n

The Gunners are fourth in the Women’s Super League table and know that a win will close the gap between themselves and Manchester City to just a point, with the added advantage of having a game in hand over Gareth Taylor<\/a>\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

But City are on a superb run of form having won each of their last five Women’s Super League games, which includes a 2-1 win over Arsenal in this season\u2019s reverse fixture on December 13.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Host Brighton & Hove Albion Looking to Take Advantage of Dropped Points in Manchester City and Arsenal Clash<\/h3>\n

League leaders Chelsea<\/a> will be looking to extend their record unbeaten Women’s Super League run to 34 games when they host Brighton<\/a> at Kingsmeadow, kick-off 2 pm GMT on February 7.<\/p>\n

The Blues are in irresistible form having beaten Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> 4-0 in their last Women’s Super League fixture on January 31,<\/a> before following that up with an emphatic 6-0 victory over West Ham United in a Continental League Cup semi-final tie on February 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their form is in sharp contrast to Brighton, who have lost six of their last seven Women’s Super League games \u2013 most recently losing 3-0 to bottom-of-the-table Bristol City on January 30.<\/a><\/p>\n

Bristol City Looking to Build on Brighton Win in Women’s Super League<\/h3>\n

Bristol City themselves have enjoyed back-to-back wins in all competitions and secured their place in the Continental League Cup Final<\/a> after beating Women\u2019s Championship leaders Leicester City<\/a> 1-0 on February 3.<\/p>\n

Kiera Skeels<\/a> scored the winner in what was her first City goal since arriving on loan from Reading, and their attention now turns back to the Women’s Super League in a crucial bottom-of-the-table clash away at West Ham on February 7, kick-off 3 pm GMT.<\/p>\n

Another victory would be enough to take Matt Beard\u2019s side off the foot of the Women’s Super League table.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa in Action Against Tottenham Hotspur<\/h3>\n

Aston Villa host Tottenham Hotspur in the first Women’s Super League fixture of the weekend knowing that only a win would definitely prevent them from replacing City at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n

Tottenham had enjoyed a resurgence in form since Rehanne Skinner\u2019s appointment as head coach after securing three straight wins but came back to earth with the aforementioned 4-0 defeat to Chelsea last time out.<\/p>\n

The action gets underway at the Banks\u2019 Stadium on February 6, kick-off 12.30 pm GMT.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Have a Royal Visit<\/h3>\n

Manchester United<\/a> v Reading begins Sunday\u2019s Women’s Super League action at Leigh Sports Village, and Casey Stoney<\/a>\u2019s side will be aiming for a third consecutive win to keep the pressure on Chelsea, after beating both Birmingham City and Everton by a 2-0 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Reading head into the game sitting sixth in the table and shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on January 23 in their last match.<\/p>\n

Everton Face Birmingham City<\/h3>\n

The other 2 pm kick-off on February 7 sees Everton<\/a> host Birmingham City. Both sides have struggled for form in recent weeks after recording just one victory in the last five games and suffered defeats last time out.<\/p>\n

The Toffees were beaten 2-0 by Man United on January 31, while Birmingham were beaten by the same opponents and scoreline a week earlier.<\/p>\n
