An injury to Solly March could mean that Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> lose their wing-back for the rest of the season, according to reports <\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brighton Could Be Without Solly March for the Rest of the Season<\/h2>\n

March Was Reportedly in Contract Talks With the Seagulls<\/h3>\n

March hobbled off midway through the second half during the recent victory against Liverpool<\/a>, after assisting the cross for Brighton\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

Graham Potter admitted<\/a> that it didn’t bode well for the Englishman, who has played all but one match for Brighton this season.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t look so good. That is the down bit of the night,” <\/span><\/p>\n

It was rumoured<\/a> that March had begun discussions over a new contract with the side from East Sussex.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old\u2019s current deal will expire at the end of the 2021\/22 season.<\/p>\n

March a Premier League Stalwart for Brighton<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Playing for Brighton runs in the March family, with Solly\u2019s father, Steve, having played at an apprentice level for the club in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

Having made his way through the academy system, March has spent his entire professional career at Brighton, amassing 186 appearances in ten years with the Seagulls.<\/p>\n

March starred in Brighton\u2019s 2016\/17 Championship promotion-winning campaign, scoring three goals and assisting a further three.<\/p>\n

Having suffered a cruciate ligament injury in 2015, the at the time England U21 international was sidelined for the best part of a year and Potter will be hoping March\u2019s latest injury isn\u2019t as severe.<\/p>\n

Brighton Turn Tide After Poor Start <\/strong><\/h3>\n

After a stumbling start to the season, Brighton have turned a corner in recent weeks<\/a> and have a comfortable ten-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Unbeaten in four league matches, the triumph at Anfield was their second upset in a week, after toppling Jose Mourinho\u2019s Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> four days prior.<\/p>\n

Brighton’s pre-Christmas performances may have warranted a better points return, but in-form and reaping the rewards, Potter has turned a tide for the seaside club.<\/p>\n

With four of their next seven matches against teams in the bottom half, Brighton will have an opportunity to consolidate their Premier League status.<\/p>\n

If the Seagulls are to survive for a fourth consecutive season, they\u2019ll have to do it without injury-stricken Solly March.<\/p>\n
