Manchester United<\/a> winger Leah Galton<\/a> has signed a new contract at the club until June 2024, with an option to extend the deal for a further year.<\/p>\n

‘A Massive Honour’<\/h3>\n

The 26-year-old signed for United in July 2018 and has made 51 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils, scoring 14 goals.<\/p>\n

She told manutd.com<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s a massive honour for me to sign a new long-term deal with the club. Since being here, I feel like I\u2019ve developed in so many ways on and off the pitch and I\u2019m especially grateful to Casey for her belief in me from the very start.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to give a special mention to my team-mates who are like family to me. We are building something really special here and there is nowhere else I would want to be playing my football.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to also thank the fans – that constant support from the start of my journey here has been incredible and I can\u2019t wait for you all to be back singing in the stands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Undeniable Talent<\/h3>\n

Manager Casey Stoney<\/a> also paid tribute to the winger following the news and added<\/a>: \u201cLeah\u2019s talent is undeniable; I have always said that I see her as one of the best wingers in this country, and her performances throughout this season just prove that.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is hardworking and leaves it all out on the pitch every training session and every matchday, and she fully deserves to be signing a new contract with the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a head coach perspective, I\u2019m so pleased that we have Leah committing her future to us. She will be a key player over the next few seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Experience in the United States and Germany<\/h3>\n

Galton arrived at United ahead of their first season as a relaunched team and played a key role in their Women\u2019s Championship title and subsequent promotion to the Women\u2019s Super League in 2018\/19.<\/p>\n

She has previous experience playing in the United States for National Women\u2019s Soccer League side Sky Blue FC and in Germany for Bayern Munich<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winger has represented England up to U23 level.<\/p>\n
