Middlesbrough have added two wingers to their ranks on deadline day, confirming the arrivals of Neeskens Kebano and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.<\/p>\n
Mendez-Laing joins Middlesbrough after being released by Cardiff City<\/a> earlier this season.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old was managed by Boro boss Neil Warnock during his time at South Wales, and it is arguably under him where he enjoyed his best football. He registered seven goals and five assists in his first season under Warnock, helping the club earn promotion to the Premier League.<\/p>\n Speaking about his new signing to the Middlesbrough website<\/a>, Warnock said: “I know Mendez well and he\u2019ll give us an added dimension. It\u2019ll be couple of weeks before he\u2019s match fit but it\u2019ll be great to have him for this run-in now.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have been short of wide players and he is a player with something to prove. We\u2019re looking forward to having him here.\u201d<\/p>\n Middlesbrough have also confirmed the arrival of Fulham winger Neeskens Kebano. The midfielder replaces Patrick Roberts, who has joined Derby County on loan.<\/p>\n After his arrival, Warnock said to the official club website<\/a>: “It\u2019s a deal I didn\u2019t think would happen. We\u2019ve been after Neeskens for a few weeks now and we\u2019ve managed to get it over the line which is a real plus for us.<\/p>\n \u201cMendez-Laing and Yannick are both lacking match fitness whereas Neeskens has been involved and playing. He\u2019s another string to our bow and we\u2019re looking forward to him joining us.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the Cottagers return to the Premier League last season, Kebano has featured sporadically this season for Scott Parker’s side, making 10 appearances in all competitions.
