Luton Town are closing in on a loan deal with Stoke City<\/a> winger Tom Ince<\/a>, according to Sky Sports<\/a>. The Hatters have had a relatively quiet transfer window thus far, and a move for the 29-year-old could materialise into a late deadline day signing.<\/p>\n

Ince is no longer a part of Michael O’Neill’s plans at Stoke, with a seemingly lateral move benefitting both clubs.<\/p>\n

Kal Naismith<\/a> is the only player to have walked through the doors this January transfer window thus far, with Peter Kioso<\/a> and Gabriel Osho<\/a> both being loaned out to League One clubs. Apart from that, it has been a quiet month for The Town, with the majority of rumours fizzling out .<\/p>\n

However, the Championship club’s transfer window has sparked into life right at the concluding stages of the transfer window. Luton were first linked with a move for West Bromwich Albion’s<\/a> Kyle Edwards<\/a>, just a couple hours before Sky Sports reported the club’s interest in Stoke’s Tom Ince.<\/p>\n

Tom Ince Would Add Much-Needed Quality in the Final Third for Luton Town<\/h3>\n

The Hatters have only managed to score four goals in their last eight games,<\/a> resulting in a glaring need to create more goal-scoring opportunities.<\/p>\n

And, despite not seeing much game-time with The Potters, Ince is a player who possesses the quality to consistently create chances for his side.<\/p>\n

Ince is a player Luton boss Nathan Jones<\/a> knows well from his short tenure with the Staffordshire club, with the 29-year-old starting the majority of matches under the Welshman’s leadership.<\/p>\n

The Potters have been keen on shipping the winger out for some time, and it seems a perfect opportunity to do so, with Luton keen on adding some attacking threat before the window shuts.<\/p>\n
