Hull City<\/a> have re-signed defender Max Clark<\/a> on a free transfer from Vitesse Arnhem. Clark has signed a short term deal until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Clark returns to his boyhood club having come through the Hull City academy. He has enjoyed a terrific two-and-half-years in the Netherlands but returns to Hull after leaving the Eredivisie side.<\/p>\n

Clark is Hull\u2019s fourth signing in this transfer window as Grant McCann continues to boost his side’s promotion charge.<\/p>\n

Clark Returns After Time in Holland<\/h3>\n

The defender returns to the club where it all began for him. He made his senior debut for the Tigers in 2017 and had an impressive campaign, making 30 appearances.<\/p>\n

Those impressive performances earned him a move to Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem. He made 57 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch outfit, scoring three times and setting up seven others during his spell.<\/p>\n

He now returns to Hull hoping to help them make an instant return to the Championship. The Tigers are top of League One after an excellent first half of the season.<\/p>\n

Clark could make his second Hull City debut against Lincoln City in the Papa John\u2019s Trophy quarter-final tie.<\/p>\n

Grant McCann Pleased to Have the Returning Clark In His Ranks<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the Hull City website<\/a> about their latest signing, McCann said: \u201cIt’s a really good signing for us.<\/p>\n

“Max’s arrival gives us really good competition at left-back with him and Callum (Elder). It was an area we needed to look at with the unfortunate injury to Brandon (Fleming).<\/p>\n

“He’s a really good player and a great character. He fits exactly what we’re after in-terms of characters we want at this football club.<\/p>\n

“His stats speak for themselves in terms of what he’s done at Vitesse. He can get forward well, cross balls and create chances, but can also defend really well too. He’s a Hull boy and a Hull City fan so we’re delighted to have him here.”<\/p>\n

As Max Clark Arrives, Martin Samuelsen Departs the KCOM Stadium<\/h3>\n

As well as confirming the arrival of Max Clark, Hull City have announced the temporary departure<\/a> of Norwegian attacker Martin Samuelsen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The versatile attacker will spend the rest of the season in Danish Football playing for Aalborg BK.<\/p>\n
