Manchester City<\/a> have joined the chase for Rochdale starlet Kwadwo Baah<\/a>, according to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old’s scintillating performances in this season’s League One campaign have captured the attention<\/a> of a whole host of top-tier clubs, stretching into Europe.<\/p>\n

Manchester City Join a Whole Host of Interested Parties<\/h3>\n

The Athletic recently reported<\/a> that both Rangers and German champions Bayern Munich<\/a> were two of the interested parties in Baah, whilst Manchester City’s<\/a> pursuit seems a couple of days behind.<\/p>\n

West Ham United<\/a> are another club who have made contact with the League One side regarding a move for the 18-year-old, with Rochdale manager Brian Barry-Murphy<\/a>\u00a0previously playing under David Moyes at Preston North End in 1999.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old’s contract is set to expire in the summer, but with the financial power Manchester City possess, they could offer a handsome fee for his services. The Premier League giants would most likely loan the forward back to Dale – another factor that would see City as the most likely suitors.<\/p>\n

Baah Has Become an Integral Part to a Free-Scoring Rochdale Side<\/h3>\n

Since being released from Crystal Palace in 2017 at the age of 14, Baah has revitalised his career in the north-west, signing a scholarship in September 2019 and has since made 16 appearances for the Greater Manchester side.<\/p>\n

Excluding Rochdale’s latest win over Bristol Rovers, Baah had started the last five games, scoring twice and assisting another one<\/a>, in a period where Dale scored 12 goals. In his 13 appearances thus far this season – including appearances from the bench – the German forward has netted three times and has assisted a further two.<\/p>\n

Baah’s continued progression with Rochdale means that it is unlikely that Manchester City and Bayern Munich will be the only interested parties from Europe’s elite, and it would be no real surprise even more interest in the 18-year-old in the coming days.<\/p>\n
