Derby County<\/a> are set to lose two players as the transfer<\/a> deadline fast approaches.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph’s John Percy<\/a> reports that the Rams have accepted a bid of \u00a3700,00 from Swansea City for Morgan Whittaker, while George Evans is set to move to Millwall for a fee of \u00a3750,000.<\/p>\n

Manager Wayne Rooney<\/a> is, though, working on two-three signings to replace the outgoings before Monday’s deadline.<\/p>\n

Swansea to Land Whittaker<\/h3>\n

Promotion-chasing Swansea have been in the market for a forward in this window since Viktor Gyokores returned to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion.<\/p>\n

Twenty-year-old Whittaker is able to play as a striker and on the right side of the attack and could give some needed spark to the Swans’ attack.<\/p>\n

Despite sitting pretty towards the top of the Championship, Saturday’s 3-1 win against Rotherham United was the first time Swansea have scored three goals in a league game this season.<\/p>\n

Steve Cooper’s side have already landed Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris on loan for the rest of the season but at just 20-years-old, Whittaker’s imminent addition is certainly a look to the future more than anything.<\/p>\n

Rooney Confirms Interest in Evans<\/h3>\n

After having an opening bid rejected<\/a> for Evans, Millwall’s second offer for the midfielder has now been accepted.<\/p>\n

Speaking after Derby’s 1-0 win against Bristol City, manager Rooney told reporters<\/a>: \u201cThere has now been an offer, and it\u2019s up to George to make a decision. I\u2019ve told George I can\u2019t guarantee him game time and won\u2019t stand in his way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Although deployed as a midfielder for Derby, Evans is also comfortable playing in defence – something he will be required to do to free Ryan Leonard from having to play as part of the back three.<\/p>\n

Millwall’s defensive options have been stretched in recent weeks after Murray Wallace suffered a broken foot.<\/p>\n

The Lions had expressed an interest in signing Hibernian defender<\/a> Ryan Porteous, but it now looks as though Evans will be the only defensive addition.<\/p>\n
