Omar Bogle<\/a> has signed for Doncaster Rovers<\/a> on a permanent deal from Charlton Athletic after falling down the pecking order at The Valley.<\/p>\n

Boyle Deemed Surplus to Requirements at Charlton<\/h3>\n

After signing with Charlton in October from Cardiff City<\/a>, Bogle has scored just twice in 17 matches for the south London club.<\/p>\n

Following the arrival of fellow forward Jayden Stockley<\/a> from Preston North End on loan, the former Cardiff City striker’s chances have come few and far between. As a result, the transfer looks to be in the best interests of all parties, with Bogle keen to feature regularly.<\/p>\n

Doncaster Looking for Promotion Push<\/h3>\n

The signing will be a welcome boost to Doncaster as the end of the January transfer window approaches.<\/p>\n

Rovers are currently fourth in League One and pushing for promotion to the Championship, sitting just six points off top spot but with three games in hand.<\/p>\n

Doncaster will be hopeful that the capture of Bogle can add more goals to a side that are already the joint-third highest scorers in League One. The well-travelled striker will be relishing the chance to start more often after his spell at Charlton didn’t quite go to plan.<\/p>\n

The South Yorkshire side have a must-win game against table-toppers Lincoln City on Saturday, where a victory could lift them as high as second in the league.<\/p>\n

The striker revealed the opportunity to work with Darren Moore was too good to turn down.<\/p>\n

He said<\/a>: \u201cAs soon as I knew of the interest from the club it was an easy decision, the manager is doing a really good job and it\u2019s exciting to come here.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe manager was a big factor and it\u2019s always important to go somewhere you know you can play to your strengths.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve heard a lot of good things especially from players that have worked with him before, he\u2019s got a really good reputation in the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
