Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> manager Nuno Espirito Santo has donated \u00a3250,000 as part of a \u00a3500,000 sum from the Wolves Foundation’s Feed Our Pack project.<\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo Pledges Support to Tackling Poverty in Wolverhampton<\/h2>\n

Good Cause for Wolverhampton Boss<\/h3>\n

The project is aimed at reducing the effects of food poverty in Wolverhampton, which have worsened amid the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

Per BBC Sport<\/a>, Nuno Espirito Santo stated: “Wolves fans and the people of Wolverhampton have been fantastic to me since I arrived here almost four years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to give something back and help the people who are struggling during the [coronavirus] pandemic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

“When you live in a city, you see and hear how people have been affected, but it is also a great city where people help and support each other and this is a really important project from the Wolves Foundation.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Scheduled to be active for the next three years, Feed Our Pack received a \u00a3250,000 grant from the Premier League PFA Community Fund.<\/p>\n

Wolves Chairman Jeff Shi Praises Impact of Wolves Foundation<\/h3>\n

In response to the actions of the club’s manager, Wolves’ executive chairman Jeff Shi said: “I am impressed and very proud of the Wolves Foundation for their commitment and dedication to helping the community during the pandemic and in launching Feed Our Pack.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is also fantastic to see Nuno has been moved to add his personal support and contribution to help give the project a really strong start.”<\/span><\/p>\n

After making a sizeable impact off the pitch, Wolves will be hoping to return to winning ways when they travel to Crystal Palace<\/a> in the Premier League on Saturday as they have not won in the league since December 15.<\/p>\n
