With a permanent deal for Said Benrahma<\/a> reportedly<\/a> imminent, West Ham<\/a> have immediately turned their attention to signing a striker before the window reaches its deadline. According to Sky Sports<\/a>, the Hammers are in talks to sign RB Leipzig forward Hwang Hee-Chan.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The London side let go of Sebastien Haller<\/a> earlier this month and are looking to replace him as soon as possible with Michail Antonio<\/a> the only recognised striker available right now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Should West Ham complete a deal for Hee-Chan, they’ll have themselves a squad with the potential to qualify for Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under David Moyes, the main task at hand was to avoid relegation at first. Since his appointment, however, the club has gone up in the world of football and are now aiming to reach new heights. They are no longer a relegation-threatened side but, instead, a side battling for a place in Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been some transition in the last year, and one that could end up with the Hammers reaching Europe. The reports that they are in talks to sign a player of Hee-Chan’s calibre certainly provides evidence of their current ambitions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hee-Chan: A Player With the Quality Needed for European Football<\/span><\/h3>\n

This season in the Bundesliga<\/a>, Hee-Chan may have struggled for appearances and goals, but he has proved his quality to play at the highest level during his time at RB Salzburg.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Just last season, before his switch to the Bundesliga, the 25-year-old played a pivotal part in Salzburg’s season- scoring 16 times and assisting a further 22. His quality is clear; it’s just about unlocking it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> will know all about the dangers of the West Ham target after he scored and assisted in a 4-3 loss at Anfield last season.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Hee-Chan struggling for game time and West Ham in need of a striker, the deal certainly makes sense.<\/span><\/p>\n
