Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> and Argentina winger Angel Di Maria<\/a>, according to L’equipe<\/a>. The 32-year-old’s contract expires with the French giants in the summer, with Tottenham<\/a> enquiring about a potential move to North London.<\/p>\n

After a rather disappointing spell with Manchester United<\/a> during the 2014\/15 Premier League season, the Argentine has since shone with PSG<\/a>, winning four Ligue 1 titles<\/a> in the five seasons he has been with the club.<\/p>\n

Not only have Les Parisiens<\/em> helped the playmaker find his feet once more, but he emerged as an integral part of PSG’s recent success and he is still as vital under new manager Mauricio Pochettino<\/a>. But, at 32-years-old, his chances of retaining a starting spot in a side with high expectations are slowly diminishing, and a move away could benefit the latter stages of the winger’s career.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur May Be Angel Di Maria’s Preferred Destination<\/h3>\n

The Argentine may have been put off an English destination, but a move to Spurs could be highly beneficial for both parties. For the Argentine, it would be an opportunity to work with Jose Mourinho<\/a>, a manager who gets the best out of his world-class players.<\/p>\n

From a Tottenham perspective, it would be a chance to better their squad whilst they are still in somewhat of a title challenge.<\/p>\n

Dele Alli Looks to Be Going the Other Way<\/h3>\n

It remains unforeseen whether PSG’s interest in a loan move<\/a> for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli<\/a>\u00a0will impact Di Maria’s situation at the club.<\/p>\n

The addition of Alli would certainly hinder the 32-year-old’s chances of playing, and from a football perspective, there are still a plethora of elite European clubs who would be willing to add a player like Di Maria to their squad.<\/p>\n
