According to reports by Sky Sports News<\/a> and Peter Smith of Stoke-on-Trent Live<\/a>, Burnley<\/a> have had a bid for defender Nathan Collins rejected by Championship club Stoke City<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports believe the bid to have been around \u00a35 million.<\/p>\n

Stoke, however, are believed to want at least double what Sean Dyche<\/a> is offering for the 19-year-old defender before considering selling.<\/p>\n

Collins has become a key man for Stoke<\/a> this season. The 19-year-old has become one of the first names on Michael O\u2019Neill\u2019s team sheet this season following a string of impressive performances.<\/p>\n

The youngster broke into the City first-team at 17 and has gone on to play 44 games in all competitions, scoring two goals. Reports suggest that Stoke would not consider a bid of less than \u00a310 million for their young star.<\/p>\n

The talented defender is also a Republic of Ireland youth international having played for their U17, U19 and U21 sides.<\/p>\n

Sean Dyche Giving Nothing Away\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

Burnley<\/a> boss Sean Dyche was giving northing away during a recent press conference when asked about Nathan Collins.<\/p>\n

Dyche said<\/a>: “I think over my eight years I should just make a list of every single player that has ever been linked to us, and then a list of those that have actually come to us. I think that’d be an interesting list to read, over the eight years I’ve been linked with many players.<\/p>\n

And on transfers in general, he added: “I don’t think there will be a lot of news at the moment, there are various situations that we’ve kept an eye on. Let’s see what the future holds, but we just look for quality players, we scout constantly, it’s a year-round thing for us. We are always keeping our eyes open for what’s available on the market.”<\/p>\n
