Tranmere Rovers have confirmed that they have signed Crystal Palace<\/a> youngster Nya Kirby<\/a> on loan until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Speaking about his new signing to the official Tranmere Rovers website<\/a>, manager Keith Hill said: “It is a superb signing. He is a player I have admired for a long time and I have watched him play for Crystal Palace\u2019s U23s.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a great acquisition and I thank the Chairman in particular for allowing us to sign him.”<\/p>\n

Hill also spoke about what Kirby, who has had experience at League One level with Blackpool, will bring to his side.<\/p>\n

\u201cNya is a very technically gifted player and good in possession,” he said. “He works very hard out of possession and he is a great character.<\/p>\n

\u201cNya wants to work hard, continue to learn and he wants to take his game to the next level.\u201d<\/p>\n

The move away from Selhurst Park will certainly offer the youngster more regular game time at first-team level. The 20-year-old has been limited to appearances in the U23’s side during his time in South London, after starting his career with Tottenham Hotspur.<\/a><\/p>\n

His previous spell away from Palace was in the aforementioned loan with Blackpool. Kirby made 11 appearances during his time at Bloomfield Road, scoring just the once.<\/p>\n

Kirby’s only appearance for Roy Hodgson’s side came earlier this season in the Carabao Cup defeat to Bournemouth<\/a>. However, he struggled in his unnatural position on the right of midfield.<\/p>\n

After confirmation of his move to Prenton Park, Kirby said: “I can\u2019t wait to get started and I am really happy everything got sorted out. I see this as a great opportunity and I want to play games and help the Club move up the league.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe manager told me I was the right player for the Club and make a positive impact, and I am confident I can do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a creative player and I like to get on the ball. I like to move the ball quickly and show some flair. I want to get assists and score goals for this Club.\u201d\u200b<\/p>\n
