West Ham United<\/a> have seen a bid for Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri<\/a> rejected, according to reports from David Ornstein of The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sevilla Reject West Ham United Offer for Youssef En-Nesyri<\/h2>\n

West Ham Initial Bid Rejected<\/h3>\n

As Ornstein reported at the start of the week, an initial bid of \u00a322.5 million-plus \u00a35 million in add ons was rejected<\/a> by Sevilla. Now though, it appears the Hammers have given up the chase of the highly-rated Moroccan striker.<\/p>\n

West Ham are in need of a replacement striker after seeing the departure of Sebastian Haller to Ajax<\/a> during the winter window.<\/p>\n

Now though, David Moyes will need to focus his attention elsewhere with the club in need of a new striker through the doors at the London Stadium.<\/p>\n

En-Nesyri at Sevilla<\/h3>\n

It is easy to see why the Hammers were in for En-Nesyri. The 23-year-old has had a stellar season for Los Nervionenses<\/i>, registering nine goals of 18 appearances in La Liga this season.<\/p>\n

The forward, who only arrived from Leganes last season for a transfer fee around \u00a318 million, has also contributed four goals from six Champions League fixtures this season.<\/p>\n

West Ham Have Showed Signs of Improvement Under David Moyes<\/h3>\n

Regardless of whether or not the Hammers manage to secure a striker during this window, David Moyes deserves credit<\/a> for the job he has done since returning to the London Stadium.<\/p>\n

Having taken over a club that sat 17th in the Premier League, Moyes has guided the Hammers to seventh in the table. His side are just one point behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> and two behind fourth-placed Leicester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Julen Lopetegui Building Something Strong at Sevilla<\/h3>\n

Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui has got a good thing going at the club. The 54-year-old, who recently extended his stay until 2024<\/a>, has guided his side to fifth in La Liga and are through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Keeping hold of players with the quality of En-Nesyri will be key if they are to push for the title and progression in Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
