After the exit of both Mesut Ozil<\/a> and Sokratis<\/a>, Arsenal<\/a> have freed up some funds to make some much-needed reinforcements. According to Paul Gilmour of Sky Sports<\/a>, those freed-up funds could be spent on bringing Real Madrid’s<\/a> Martin Odegaard<\/a> in on loan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 22-year-old creative midfielder excelled on loan at Real Sociedad<\/a> last season but has since failed to impress back at the Bernabeu. As per Gilmour, the out-of-favour Odegaard could be on his way to Arsenal- who are among several clubs to have made an approach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Added Creativity<\/span><\/h3>\n

With Ozil now gone, the need for a new number ten at the Emirates has become apparent. The German, who failed to feature all season, is set to swap London for Turkey in a free deal to Fenerbahce.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The move frees up funds for Arteta to spend on reinforcements with Odegaard potentially among those.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, although Emile Smith Rowe’s<\/a> emergence has silenced critics of Arsenal’s creativity, the need for that added class is there for all to see; something Odegaard could offer in abundance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There will undoubtedly be plenty of competition for the young Norwegian, however, with his ability to pick the perfect pass shown throughout his spell at Sociedad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Odegaard Needs First-Team Football<\/span><\/h3>\n

Having made just ten first-team appearances this season at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane has reportedly sanctioned a loan move for Odegaard, who has previously flourished elsewhere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As reported by David Ornstein<\/a>, Real Sociedad, who the Norwegian scored seven goals and assisted a further nine for last season, are among the clubs interested in taking the Madrid youngster on loan again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Either way, wherever he does end up, Odegaard will add the spark of creativity and class. As for Real Madrid, should they continue to shut out the midfielder, a permanent exit could be on the cards.<\/span><\/p>\n
