Chelsea<\/a> are considering replacing Frank Lampard<\/a> as boss at the club and already have a potential plan in place that would see Avram Grant take charge until the end of the season and then Thomas Tuchel<\/a> handed the reigns in the summer according to Christian Falk.<\/a><\/p>\n

Thomas Tuchel Considered as Potential Frank Lampard Replacement at Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Lampard Linked With Sack<\/h3>\n

The Blues have been rumoured to be considering the future of current manager<\/a> Frank Lampard and reports have been linking the club with all kinds of potential new managerial options.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Chelsea have reportedly<\/a> drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements that include Massimiliano Allegri<\/a> and Thomas Tuchel.<\/p>\n

Julian Nagelsmann was also believed to be a new name mentioned<\/a> for the manager\u2019s job on the potential shortlist but, now, it appears as though the Blues might have made their mind up on their next manager.<\/p>\n

Avram Grant Could Take Temporary Charge Before Tuchel Arrives at Chelsea<\/h3>\n

According to Falk,<\/a> if Lampard does leave the club, the Blues have a plan in place to replace him straight away at the club. They would appoint Avram Grant as temporary manager until the summer.<\/p>\n

Once the season ends, they will then move to appoint former PSG<\/a> boss Thomas Tuchel.<\/p>\n

Tuchel has, of course, been linked with the job for a while now and is believed to be high on their potential shortlist. Now it appears that owner Roman Abramovich wants the man over anybody else on the shortlist and is prepared to give Grant the job until the end of the campaign to get him.<\/p>\n

Grant in Charge at Stamford Bridge Previously<\/h3>\n

Grant could be a safe option to take charge at Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis due to the fact he has been at the helm at the club before. It means he is familiar with the setup and the owner and could slot back in with ease.<\/p>\n

Whether Lampard shall lose his job – and whether this plan will come into fruition – remains to be seen at Stamford Bridge though. As Chelsea’s poor form continues, however, the rumours will only intensify.<\/p>\n
