{"id":578529,"date":"2021-01-12T07:55:14","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T12:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/?p=578529"},"modified":"2021-01-12T07:55:14","modified_gmt":"2021-01-12T12:55:14","slug":"brighton-hove-albion-agree-moises-caicedo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/01\/12\/brighton-hove-albion-agree-moises-caicedo\/","title":{"rendered":"Brighton &#038; Hove Albion Agree Fee for Moises Caicedo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/clubs\/brighton-hove-albion\/\" target=\"_self\">Brighton &amp; Hove Albion<\/a> have moved one step closer to signing <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/01\/09\/brighton-hove-albion-moises-caicedo\/\" target=\"_self\">Moises Caicedo<\/a> after agreeing a fee with Independiente del Valle. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/1348971263369355264\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fabrizio Romano<\/a> reports that the two sides have agreed a \u20ac6 million sum for the midfielder, who had once been a target for a host of other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.<\/p>\n<h2>Moises Caicedo a Step Closer to Brighton Move<\/h2>\n<h3>Seagulls Confident of Completing Deal<\/h3>\n<p>The agreement of the fee with the Ecuadorian clubs has left Brighton confident that they can complete the deal for the promising teenager.<\/p>\n<p>Graham Potter&#8217;s side are now just waiting for a work permit for Caicedo before they can complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/football-transfer-news\/\" target=\"_self\">transfer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United had been long-term admirers of Caicedo while <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/01\/07\/everton-moises-caicedo\/\" target=\"_self\">Everton<\/a> had also emerged as candidates to land his signature in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea had also been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old, while Romano reports that Newcastle United have been trying to secure a deal with him for the last few days.<\/p>\n<p>Brighton, though, are leading the way and should get the deal done comfortably before the end of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n<p>The work permit is not expected to be an issue.
