Arsenal<\/a> do not want to sell Eddie Nketiah<\/a>\u00a0to West Ham<\/a>\u00a0United<\/a> this month, according\u00a0to reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

Arsenal Not Selling Eddie Nketiah to West Ham<\/h2>\n

Replacement for Sebastien Haller<\/h3>\n

The forward has played 12 times this season for the Gunners so far this season, bagging one goal along the way.<\/p>\n

The Englishman had been linked to West Ham<\/a>, with David Moyes\u2019 side on the hunt for a new striker to replace the outgoing Sebastien Haller.<\/a><\/p>\n

Haller has made the move to Ajax<\/a> and leaves the Hammers in need of a new option in the striking role at the club – and they were believed to be keen on Nketiah.<\/p>\n

Best Stint at Leeds United<\/h3>\n

However, according to\u00a0Fabrizio Romano,<\/a> Arsenal will not sell the player to the Hammers and will try and keep hold of him this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Nketiah has played only 33 times for Arsenal so far in his career – starting just ten of those games. His most prominent spell came with Leeds United<\/a> on loan when the-then Championship side won promotion back into the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Featuring 17 times in the Championship, he started only two of those games but bagged three goals along the way. He scored five from 19 in all competitions.<\/p>\n

His performances for both Arsenal and Leeds must have caught the eye of West Ham though, who believe he could be a solid option for them up front.<\/p>\n

West Ham Believed Eddie Nketiah Would be Valuable Option Upfront<\/h3>\n

But, the reports claim that Arsenal are quite happy to keep hold of Nketiah, even though he has failed to feature for the Gunners regularly.<\/p>\n

It means that the Hammers may now have to turn to a different option up-front, with boss Mikel Arteta seemingly very happy to keep hold of the 21-year-old rather than let him leave in pursuit of more regular first-team action.<\/p>\n

Although Nketiah is seemingly not the highest on the pecking order with other forwards above him, he clearly has an Arsenal future.<\/p>\n
