Alfie Doughty<\/a> could soon be playing in the Championship<\/a> after reports claimed that<\/a> three second-tier sides have had bids accepted for the player.<\/p>\n

Three Championship Teams Have Alfie Doughty Bids Accepted<\/h2>\n

Player Has Impressed For Charlton<\/h3>\n

The 21-year old has impressed many since breaking into the Charlton Athletic first-team last season and with the Addicks relegated to League One for this campaign (and with the man himself continuing to impress in the third tier) it has led to much interest in his signature.<\/p>\n

Championship Side Stoke are Reportedly Interested in Alfie Doughty<\/h3>\n

One of the most notable named teams that reportedly want to sign Doughty is Stoke City. The club have remained keen to sign him this month and could be one of the sides that have now had a bid accepted for the youngster.<\/p>\n

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer seemed resigned to losing the talented Englishman as he told London News Online:<\/a> \u201cThere are three Championship sides that we have agreed terms with. I expect Alfie will speak to all three of them. I think he should.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t just make a rash decision \u2013 he should speak to all three. He\u2019s been really good. He\u2019s not been knocking on the door.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut this is football \u2013 these are things you can\u2019t control.\u201d<\/p>\n

First Played for Bromley<\/h3>\n

Doughty\u2019s first taste of regular footballing action came during a spell at Bromley<\/a> as a 19-year old. Featuring eight times for the National League side, he then returned back to Charlton with some whole new experiences under his belt as a footballer.<\/p>\n

After the club recalled Doughty,\u00a0 they threw him straight into first-team action for them. Playing 29 times for the Addicks last season, he could only watch on as his side were relegated back to the third tier of English football.<\/p>\n

Now in League One, he\u2019s made seven starts so far this campaign. But he suffered an injury sidelining him until February – meaning that he might have already played his last game as a Charlton player.<\/p>\n
