Manchester United<\/a> boss Ole Gunner Solksjaer has confirmed<\/a> that Timothy Fosu-Mensah<\/a> has an uncertain future with the club.<\/p>\n

Only Made a Handful of Manchester United Starts<\/h3>\n

The Englishman has only made six starts for the Red Devils after coming up through the youth ranks at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In pursuit of first-team football, the player may have to leave the club to get the action that he wants – and now boss Ole Gunner Solksjaer has confirmed that this is a plausible possibility.<\/p>\n

The Man United manager said: \u201cI\u2019m not sure if Tim is going to stay or if he\u2019s going to take an option now. He\u2019s not played enough. He\u2019s been allowed to speak to clubs with a view to leaving now in January.<\/p>\n

\u201dHe\u2019s now at the stage where he needs to go and play again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Timothy Fosu-Mensah Played More on Loan Than at Red Devils<\/h3>\n

The 23-year old has found most of his playing time has come away from Old Trafford. In spells with both Crystal Palace<\/a> and Fulham<\/a> he played in games a lot more frequently, appearing 33 times in total.<\/p>\n

Now it looks like any move away from the Red Devils will be on a more permanent basis, rather than a short-term one.<\/p>\n

Fosu-Mensah, who can play in both defence and midfield, has risen through the ranks at United; many fans expected him to continue to grow and flourish at the club, before eventually nailing down a first-team spot.<\/p>\n

Player Is Low in the Club\u2019s Pecking Order<\/h3>\n

However, Fosu-Mensah is now 23-years-old with several other players above him in the pecking order. With no signs of more regular game-time, he is likely to instead try and fulfill his potential at a different club.<\/p>\n

Originally making his United debut at just 17-years old, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has only gone on to make just 16 appearances for the club with just one assist along the way.<\/p>\n

At times, he has also been confined to playing for the club\u2019s reserve side.<\/p>\n

Now though, the player has the opportunity to secure a move away either now or in the summer and has his manager’s blessing to do so.<\/p>\n
