Manchester United<\/a> manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a> has said that Argentine pair Marcos Rojo<\/a> and Sergio Romero<\/a> will leave the club when their contracts expire in the summer.<\/p>\n

Solskjaer stated<\/a>: “Both of them have contracts until the summer and they’re not going to be extended. So we’re looking for them to find clubs.”<\/p>\n

“They’re professionals, working hard, and they’re ready if they call in for us,” added the Norwegian ahead of his side’s FA Cup<\/a> clash with Watford<\/a> on Saturday, January 9.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Fabrizio Romano is reporting<\/a> that Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo<\/a> is also set to depart Old Trafford. The former Watford forward’s loan deal comes to an end this month, meaning he is expected to return to Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua at the end of January.<\/p>\n

Marcos Rojo Has Become a Forgotten Man at Old Trafford<\/h3>\n

Although Rojo’s time as a Manchester United player is coming to an end, the Old Trafford hierarchy are still hoping to receive a transfer fee for the defender.<\/p>\n

This is because there has been reported interest<\/a> in Rojo from Argentine club Boca Juniors, who may come in with an official bid for the 30-year-old before he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

If United are to command a fee for the man signed for \u00a316 million from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, then they would have to find a way to sell him this month.<\/p>\n

Last season, Rojo spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Estudiantes in his native Argentina, having started only 13 games in two years before that.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Supporters Unhappy With Sergio Romero Treatment<\/h3>\n

Goalkeeper Sergio Romero will follow Marcos Rojo out the door when his contract also expires this summer. The 33-year-old’s exit from Old Trafford will not be as low-key as that of his compatriot, with United fans in uproar over his treatment by the club.<\/p>\n

Romero has effectively been frozen out of the picture at the Manchester club this season. The return of England goalkeeper Dean Henderson<\/a> from Sheffield United<\/a> on the eve of the campaign, coupled with David de Gea<\/a> retaining his first-choice status at the club, has added congestion to the goalkeeping department at United.<\/p>\n

Romero has evidently suffered as a result, and will be allowed to leave Old Trafford under a cloud as a free agent in the summer. Having performed so admirably as de Gea’s deputy since his 2015 arrival, fans are upset he has not been treated differently this season. Romero played throughout the club’s triumphant Europa League campaign in 2017. This remains the most-recent trophy won by the club.<\/p>\n
