Lincoln City<\/a> have made their first January signing after snapping up Manchester City<\/a> youngster Morgan Rogers<\/a> on loan for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

The talented attacker can play anywhere across a front three and will certainly add further pace and creativity to an already excellent Lincoln attack. Michael Appleton is continuing to use his strong links with other clubs to attract the brightest talents.<\/p>\n

Morgan Rogers Joins on Loan From Manchester City<\/h3>\n

The talented teenager has inked a loan deal until the end of the season. He arrives determined to help Lincoln\u2019s promotion bid. The Imps sit top of League One, four points clear of second-placed Portsmouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rogers began his career at West Bromwich Albion, <\/a>making his senior debut aged just 16 against Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a>. His impressive performances in the Baggies youth setup caught the eye of Manchester City. City quickly snapped him up in 2019 and has spent the past year training and playing for City\u2019s academy teams.<\/p>\n

This will be Rogers\u2019 first loan in the English Football League. The move to Lincoln offers a great opportunity for the youngster to gain valuable experience and maybe even catch the eye of City manager Pep Guardiola.<\/p>\n

Rogers is eligible to make his Lincoln debut this weekend when the Imps take on promotion rivals Peterborough United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rogers Eager to Keep the Lincoln Momentum Going<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the club\u2019s website<\/a> about his move, Rogers said: \u201cI\u2019m very happy to have joined this club. I am looking forward to the rest of the season and what it holds for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club is great, I like the style of football that the manager plays and I feel being here will help me develop further as a player.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know a few of the lads here like Alex (Palmer), Max (Melbourne) and Brennan (Johnson) and they have told me how much they are enjoying it here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club are in a good position in the league and we want to keep that momentum going.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lincoln Director of Football Jez George added: \u201cWe are absolutely delighted to have signed Morgan on loan until the end of the season to add to Michael\u2019s options at the top end of the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n
