Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has revealed who he thinks the world’s best centre-backs are, with Sergio Ramos<\/a>, Virgil van Dijk<\/a> and Kalidou Koulibaly<\/a> topping the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Norweigan has already encountered two of the three centre-backs, with only Real Madrid’s<\/a> Ramos eluding him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haaland’s Performance Against Virgil van Dijk<\/h3>\n

His meteoric rise culminated with superb performances in the Champions League for Red Bull Salzburg. The performance, in particular, against Liverpool<\/a> and Virgil van Dijk<\/a> thrust the Norwegian onto the world stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

During Liverpool’s Champions League campaign last season, Haaland bagged a goal in Salzburg’s 4-3<\/a> defeat at Anfield. He was a constant nuisance throughout the second-half in particular to Van Dijk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haalaand Against Kalidou Koulibaly<\/span><\/h3>\n

From one great centre-back to another, in same the Champions League season, Haaland scored three goals <\/a><\/span>in two fixtures against Napoli<\/a> and terrorised Kalidou Koulibaly<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although RB Salzburg failed to win either fixture, Haaland gained plenty of plaudits, with big clubs continuing to circle around the striker. The Norwegian ultimately earned an \u00a318 million<\/a> move to Borussia Dortmund<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haaland on his Toughest Opponents<\/span><\/h3>\n

And it is here that Haaland has continued to make waves. The striker has been in scintillating form this season with ten goals and two assists in eight appearances<\/a> for the German outfit. So how does the Norwegian do it?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Haaland told Norweigan publication <\/span>Verdens Gang<\/span><\/em><\/a>: <\/span>“For me, it’s like a drug, there is no better feeling than after you’ve scored.”<\/span><\/p>\n

When speaking on the centre-halves, Haaland said to <\/span>Verdens Gang<\/span><\/em><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

“I have to say, for me, the three best in the world are Sergio Ramos, Virgil van Dijk and Kalidou Koulibaly. The three are good, strong and intelligent.”<\/span><\/p>\n

With Virgil van Dijk currently injured \u2014and both Kalidou Koulibaly<\/a> and Sergio Ramos<\/a><\/span> not getting any younger\u2014 the striker will be in prime position to face those battles.<\/p>\n
