Manchester United<\/a> manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a> was left “disappointed” by his side’s result against Leicester City<\/a>. A late own goal from Axel Tuanzebe<\/a>, though made by Jamie Vardy<\/a>, rescued a point for Leicester in a 2-2 draw, which keeps the Foxes in second and United in third position in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Solskjaer’s side were pegged back twice at the King Power Stadium. Marcus Rashford<\/a>‘s opener was cancelled out by Harvey Barnes<\/a> in the first half before Tuanzebe’s own goal prevented Bruno Fernandes<\/a>‘ goal being the winner.<\/p>\n

‘Not the Worst Result’<\/h3>\n

Indeed, a point isn’t a bad result for either side. It was a tough game for both sides given it was second v third and it keeps both well within touching distance of leaders Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Solskjaer acknowledged both sides of the argument and insisted that his side need to put it right against Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> in three days time.<\/p>\n

He said<\/a>: “Disappointed we didn’t win today because we had loads of big chances and we could’ve finished it off but they’re a dangerous side, the goal from Jamie Vardy just shows his quality.<\/p>\n

“It was a good goal from Marcus Rashford as well and I’m glad he scored. He knows the first chance was a glorious one [missed chance in the first half]. Missing that is just one of those things.<\/p>\n

“Both goals should’ve been closed down quicker – the first one definitely and the second one we should manage to stop the cross. You always look at goals conceded, what we should’ve or could’ve done better.<\/p>\n

“Of course we’ve got a game in three days – we have an extra recovery day which we will use wisely. One point is not the worst result but we’re disappointed to not get the three points against a tough side.”<\/p>\n

Rodgers Satisfied With Point<\/h3>\n

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was left satisfied with a point which strengthens his side’s place in the top four.<\/p>\n

He said: “I thought it was a good game – two attacking teams and I thought we had lots of really good play. Our defending and counter-pressing was very good you have to do that against teams like Man United they break so fast. In the first half, that element of our game was good.<\/p>\n

“Second half we had to defend a bit more but were still compact and tight and then had good moments when we were playing through and maybe lacked the final pass. We go 2-1 behind and we’ve always had enthusiasm and confidence but these games you go behind against a team that’s been playing so well it really showed the mentality of the players and we deserved a point at least out the game.”<\/p>\n
