Norwich City<\/a> goalkeeper Tim Krul<\/a> has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract extension to keep him at the club until June 2024.<\/p>\n

The Dutch shot-stopper has made 97 appearances for the Canaries since his arrival in 2018.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the club website about his new contract, Tim Krul said \u201cProud is the big word. I\u2019m excited to commit my future to Norwich and have had an amazing two and a half years already at this club, so I\u2019m excited to add another three and a half years to that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plan the club has got for the next few years is exciting and there\u2019s some young, exciting talent coming through the ranks as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom top to bottom it\u2019s a club I want to be at; one that\u2019s run really well from Michael and Delia to the kitman. It\u2019s an exciting time to for the club, for sure.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a player, you want to be loved and I\u2019ve got a great relationship with the fans. The club giving me this three-and-a-half-year contract shows me the belief they\u2019ve still got in me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, manager Daniel Farke added: \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic news for us to have a player of Tim\u2019s quality and personality. He\u2019s by far the best goalkeeper in this league and was impressive in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo have a player of his experience and quality is fantastic, because if you want to be a successful club, whatever league you play in, you always need a top-class goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s good news he was willing to sign a long-term contract because there is lots of interest in a player of his quality and experience. He\u2019s a great ambassador for us and it\u2019s a good decision for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tim Krul: Flying High with the Canaries<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Having previously spent seven seasons with Newcastle United<\/a> earlier in his career, Krul arrived at Norwich in 2018 off the back of a mixed spell in the Eredivisie.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman was ever-present as Norwich topped the Championship<\/a> in his first season at Carrow Road, and continued to impress during the club\u2019s short-lived stint in the Premier League.<\/a><\/p>\n

Back in the Championship this season, the 32-year old has conceded just eight goals in 13 matches as Norwich sit five points clear at the top of the table.<\/p>\n
