Mohamed El Kashashy and Chris Farnell Pull Out of Burnley Takeover Talks<\/h2>\n

One Group Left in Burnley Takeover Talks<\/h3>\n

According to The Athletic<\/a>, ALK Capital are the only party left in Burnley’s takeover talks.<\/p>\n

The American investment group hope to conclude a deal soon so that they can shape the squad in the January window.<\/p>\n

El Kashashy and Farnell had reportedly not heard anything from the club for a number of weeks and thus decided to pull out (Lancashire Live<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Dyche in the Dark<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

This news comes two days after Sean Dyche admitted<\/a> that he was very much ‘in the dark’ regarding the takeover.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know anymore than I am told which is very little,”<\/p>\n

“That is a surprise to me as I have been here eight years and I thought I might have a little bit more knowledge.<\/p>\n

“But at the end of the day the business side of the club is for the business guys, the board and the chairman.<\/p>\n

“Until it changes I will stay working with the team and I have always kept my focus as working with the team anyway.<\/p>\n

Burnley’s Position<\/h3>\n

The Clarets sit precariously above the relegation zone. Three points separate them from third-bottom Fulham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dyche will be hoping to get a better foothold in the Premier League and their upcoming matches give them a great chance; they face Leeds United, Sheffield United and Fulham in their next three games.<\/p>\n

A takeover in January could help to bolster Burnley’s squad, although Dyche has warned against any major spending<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I will certainly not question the group we have got. If there is an ownership change and if money becomes available, it still has to be spent on the right people.<\/p>\n

“You don’t just bring people in for the sake of it. We still want to have the prowess of this club.”<\/p>\n
