David Beckham\u2019s Major League Soccer side Inter Miami<\/a>\u00a0are exploring the possibility to sign Manchester United<\/a> goalkeeper Sergio Romero<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Inter Miami Keen on Sergio Romero<\/h2>\n

Out of Favour in England but Wanted in America<\/h3>\n

The Manchester United goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order at the club with David De Gea<\/a>, Dean Henderson<\/a> and Lee Grant<\/a> all ahead of him. Romero was not included in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer\u2019s Premier League or Champions League squads.<\/p>\n

Formed in 2018, the David Beckham is president of the MLS club and is looking to sign the Argentinian goalkeeper in January before the season starts in March, according to The Athletic<\/a>. Romero is said to be currently training and is fit to play.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Contract Situation<\/h3>\n

The Red Devils have been looking for potential suitors for the 33-year old goalkeeper in the summer but Aston Villa<\/a> ended up opting for Emi Martinez<\/a> and Everton<\/a> signed Robin Olsen<\/a> on loan until the end of the season<\/a>. Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s side, at the time, had asked for the keeper but United rejected a loan bid which included a \u00a32 million fee as they wanted to avoid improving a Premier League rival.<\/p>\n

Miami Calling<\/h3>\n

His contract expires in the summer and, after being priced out of a move away a few months ago, an exit looks more than likely. An unnamed Spanish side are already in talks about taking Romero on loan for the remainder of his contract, but the emergence of interest from Inter Miami could give the 33-year old fresh hope of ending a hellish 2020 at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

To join Beckham\u2019s new army, the 33-year old, who has a current wage of around \u00a3100,000 per week, would stipend any chances of a move given the salary restrictions in America.<\/p>\n

Despite an option for United to extend his deal by a further deal, Romero has not featured since the Europa League<\/a> quarter-final win over Copenhagen<\/a> in August.<\/p>\n

\u2018In Demand\u2019 Romero<\/h3>\n

Regarded as one of the best back-up goalkeepers in the league, the World Cup is on the horizon and the 33-year old will believe that will be his last chance of world glory so to push through an exit now only seems logical.<\/p>\n

For United, clubs were offering \u00a315 million-plus for the goalkeeper just a mere three months ago but now look set to lose him for free.<\/p>\n
