After losing 2-0 against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, Watford have sacked manager Vladimir Ivic.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The sacking comes as no surprise for many after the most recent loss left the Hornets 5th and four points away from the automatic promotion spot. After just four months in charge, Ivic’s short time of at the club has come to an end despite initially signing a one year deal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Watford<\/a> are quickly becoming known for their managerial ruthlessness, and Ivic was the 12th permanent manager appointed by owner Gino Pazzo in the last eight years. The search for a 13th is now on.<\/span><\/p>\n

As previously alluded, Watford are no strangers to a new managerial appointment, and, in the past, they have dismissed those in charge who have guided the club to better positions than the one Ivic’s side currently holds- making his sacking no surprise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With issues arising between club captain Troy Deeney and Ivic, too, it seems the club chose their club captain over the manager, who was sacked.<\/span><\/p>\n

The captain was left out of the defeat against Huddersfield due to disciplinary issues. Ivic revealed the reasoning after the game, saying<\/a>: “I believe that he wasn’t ready to play from the beginning, but the reason he wasn’t able to come on was discipline issue.”<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked whether Deeney would stay at the club, Ivic said:<\/a> “I don’t know, we will see. It’s between us, and I don’t want to speak about this.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The loss added with the issue with the club captain, proved to be the end of the short-lived Ivic era, who has been sacked by Watford.<\/span><\/p>\n

The task at hand for the Hornets will now be to find a replacement, and quick, as they look to fire themselves to promotion.<\/span><\/p>\n
