Aston Villa<\/a> midfielder Jack Grealish<\/a> has been given a price tag of at least \u00a3100 million, according to Matt Law for The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If the England international does leave for a nine-figure sum then he would become the most expensive British transfer.<\/p>\n

Plenty of Interest in the Villa Star<\/h3>\n

A move away from Villa Park has been rife for some time now. Manchester United<\/a>, Manchester City<\/a> and Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> have all previously shown interest, according to the report, and the 25-year-old has been compared to Eden Hazard<\/a> by former Liverpool<\/a> defender, Jamie Carragher.<\/p>\n

A move away seems likely despite Villa’s strong start to the season. The midfielder has been a key part of the clubs’ success this campaign providing five Premier League goals and a further five assists.<\/p>\n

Only Spurs duo Harry Kane <\/a>and Son Heung-min<\/a> have more with 16 and 11 respectively.<\/p>\n

Most Expensive British Transfer<\/h3>\n

Currently, Gareth Bale<\/a> is the most expensive British transfer after his \u00a389 million move from Tottenham to Real Madrid<\/a> in 2013, while Harry Maguire<\/a> joined the Red Devils from Leicester City<\/a> for \u00a380 million in 2018.<\/p>\n

But now, with Kane and Son both valued over \u00a3100 million and Borussia Dortmund demanding a similar sum for Jadon Sancho<\/a>, the Premier League outfit have upped their asking price.<\/p>\n

Villa had previously valued their star man at \u00a370 million following his first season back in the top flight. However, after failing to receive any bids, Grealish penned a new five year deal with the midlands side. Since, he has grown as a player and become involved in the England senior set-up, thus enhancing his asking price.<\/p>\n

No Pressure to Sell<\/h3>\n

Villa’s owners are under no illusions to sell their star man. Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are wealthy owners and have shown their financial backing in the last two transfer windows.<\/p>\n

But, like last season, Villa know losing their top-flight status could affect any potential multi-million-pound transfer.<\/p>\n
