Tottenham Hotspu<\/a>r’s talisman Harry Kane<\/a> is an injury doubt for Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harry Kane, Carlos Vinicius and Sergio Reguilon All Injury Worries for North London Derby<\/h2>\n

All Three Players Will Miss Thursday’s Europa League Match<\/h3>\n

Fellow striker Carlos Vinicius<\/a> and left-back Sergio Reguilon<\/a> are also injured. All three will be absent from Thursday’s Europa League game against LASK. This week’s matches also come too early for long-term absentee Erik Lamela<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jose Mourinho was speaking to reporters ahead of the LASK game. When asked about Kane<\/a>, Vinicius and Reguilon’s absences from training on Wednesday morning, Mourinho responded<\/a>: “All injured. Lamela is an injury from three weeks, a month. I don’t believe he has a chance for the weekend. Harry, Vinicius and Sergio there is a chance for the weekend.”<\/p>\n

Mourinho was coy when pressed for more details on Kane and the nature of the injury. However, the former Chelsea<\/a> boss was cautiously optimistic that the England captain would be ready for Sunday’s game against Arsenal: “I’m not going to tell you the nature of his injury. I think he has a good chance [vs Arsenal],” Mourinho said.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want to lie, I don’t want to hide anything in relation to is he going to play or no? I think he’s going to play. That’s my feeling is that he’s going to play.”<\/p>\n

Toby Alderweireld Edging Closer to Return<\/h3>\n

There was more encouraging fitness news for Spurs fans, particularly regarding centre-back Toby Alderweireld<\/a>. The Belgian defender has been out of action since picking up an abductor injury during his side’s 2-0 win against Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the injury was less serious than originally thought.<\/a> Now, the 31-year-old has a fighting chance of being fit for the North London Derby: “Yeah he has a chance [for the weekend],” Mourinho added.<\/p>\n

“Not for tomorrow. Joe [Rodon]<\/a> played against Chelsea and it wasn’t an easy first match to play. Davinson [Sanchez]<\/a> will play tomorrow. We have our options if he cannot play and we will not cry if he can’t like against Chelsea.”<\/p>\n
