AC Milan<\/a> goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma<\/a> has told DAZN (via Fabrizio Romano<\/a>) that he wants to stay with the Serie A<\/a> leaders.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma, who is represented by Mino Raiola, is keen to extend his stay at his boyhood club beyond the expiry of his current contract in June 2021.<\/p>\n

The Goalkeeper Claims His Agent ‘Knows What He Has to Do’<\/h3>\n

The 21-year-old shot-stopper is reported as saying<\/a>: “I want to stay at AC Milan, for sure. My agent will talk about my contract with the board. Mino Raiola knows what he has to do.”<\/p>\n

Romano added that talks have already begun between Raiola and the club, meaning an agreement is expected to be reached sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma began his AC Milan first-team career as a 16-year-old back in 2015. His debut<\/a> against Sassuolo<\/a> that year made him the second-youngest goalkeeper<\/a> ever to appear in a Serie A match.<\/p>\n

Senior international recognition soon followed, with Donnarumma making his Italy<\/a> debut in a 3-1 defeat by France in September 2016. Doing so made him Italy’s youngest-ever goalkeeper, a feat the player described as an “emotional” achievement<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n

Despite already having five years’ worth of top-flight experience, AC Milan will hope a new contract at the San Siro will provide the springboard for Donnarumma to establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for club and country for the next decade at least.<\/p>\n

Italian Giants Keen to Discuss Brahim Diaz Future<\/h3>\n

Another player whose future is up for discussion at AC Milan is Spanish midfielder Brahim Diaz<\/a>. The former Manchester City<\/a> man has impressed since moving to Serie A on loan from Real Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

AC Milan sporting director Frederic Massara<\/a> has\u00a0stated that the club are “so happy” with the start the player has made at the San Siro.<\/p>\n

“We’re planning to meet Real Madrid in the next months to open talk’s about Brahim’s future,” added Massara.<\/p>\n

Diaz has made 12 appearances for the club so far this season, scoring three times<\/a>.<\/p>\n
