Sporting director Michael Zorc expects striker Erling Braut Haaland<\/a>\u00a0to remain at Borussia Dortmund<\/a> for many years to come, according to a report in German newspaper and website Sport Bild.<\/a><\/p>\n

Erling Braut Haaland to Remain with Borussia Dortmund for a Long Time<\/h2>\n

Erling Braut Haaland has been a huge hit since joining Borussia Dortmund and is constantly\u00a0linked<\/a> with a move away from the club. It is hardly surprising that the Norwegian striker is in high demand, especially seeing as he just became the quickest player to reach 15 goals in the history of the UEFA Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Dortmund\u2019s sporting director is not worried about the player leaving anytime soon:\u00a0\u201cWe plan for the long term with Erling. [Rumours] do not have to be dealt with at all. I will see him with us for a long time.”<\/p>\n

Zorc continued to tell Sport Bild: <\/a>\u201cHe exudes a positive dynamic. It’s good for all of us. And I don’t believe in slowing down a positive development\u201d<\/p>\n

Zorc wants Haaland to be a mainstay of the club and to lead the club to more success on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Links<\/h3>\n

Back in October 2020, rumours<\/a> were circulating that Manchester United<\/a> boss and fellow Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was desperate to bring Haaland to Old Trafford<\/a>. He had already succeeded in bringing Donny van de Beek to the club, but the Dortmund man was said to be his main target. Manchester United fans and the manager ended up with Edison Cavani<\/a> who, although a proven goal scorer, is a player heading to the twilight of his career.<\/p>\n

Haaland Stays, For Now<\/h3>\n

It is clear that Borussia Dortmund will do all they can to keep their prized asset. A player of Haaland\u2019s quality will always be a focus of interest to the world\u2019s biggest clubs but should enquiries start to come in again in January, Dortmund and Michael Zorc will be doing all they can to make sure he does not leave.<\/p>\n
