After another relatively tight Championship gameweek, the league table is really starting to shape up<\/a>. Convincing wins from Blackburn, Bournemouth<\/a> and Middlesbrough were the only victories that exceeded a one-goal margin.<\/p>\n

Blackburn Rovers, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough Star in Latest Championship Game-Week<\/h2>\n

Brilliant Blackburn Dominate in Derby Day Thrashing<\/h3>\n

Rovers made the short trip to Preston North-End, a side who even before proceedings possessed an abysmal home record.<\/p>\n

Adam Armstrong<\/a> opened the scoring with a penalty on the stroke of half-time to record his 12th goal of the season, before Ben Brereton<\/a> made it two, eight minutes into the second half.<\/p>\n

Blackburn’s dominance was capped off when Brereton turned provider with 15 minutes left to play. The forward’s low driven ball across the box was tapped in by Tyrhys Dolan<\/a>, who could not miss against his former side.<\/p>\n

The 3-0 victory<\/a> for Blackburn takes them above their Lancashire rivals, but, despite being the league’s top scorers, they sit in 12th position. Whereas, The Lilywhites have dropped down to 15th and have now lost six out of their seven games at Deepdale this season.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth Comfortably See off Struggling Nottingham Forest<\/h3>\n

The Cherries secured a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest to stay within a point of league leaders Norwich City.<\/a><\/p>\n

Bournemouth took the lead in the 3rd minute when Junior Stanislas<\/a> controlled and finished from David Brooks<\/a>‘ delightful pass. The winger then grabbed his and Bournemouth’s second early in the second half when he coolly converted from the penalty spot, after Jack Colback<\/a> brought Dominic Solanke<\/a> down.<\/p>\n

The 2-0 win<\/a> for the hosts continued their unbeaten start to the season at the Vitality Stadium, whilst Forest now only sit two places and three points above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Impressive Boro Hit Lowly Derby for Three<\/h3>\n

Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough ended three games without a win and a goal, with a 3-0 win<\/a> over bottom of the league Derby County.<\/p>\n

Britt Assombalonga<\/a> put the hosts ahead after 33 minutes when he poked home from close-range before Matt Clarke<\/a> put the ball into his own net for the second. Marvin Johnson<\/a> sealed the three points in the 83rd minute when he marvellously curled the ball into the back of the net from range.<\/p>\n

Victory for Boro sees them move within two points of the play-off positions, whilst the problems continue at Derby. The Rams are now six points off escaping those relegation places, and whoever gets the permanent job has a massive task ahead of them.<\/p>\n
