The return of Salah, Liverpool’s top goalscorer so far this season, could allows the Reds boss to rotate against Atalanta and rest the likes of Sadio Mane; instead opting with the similarly potent Salah.

With such a congested fixture list ahead, too, providing Mane with a rest while handing Salah his Liverpool return, could be a wise decision by Klopp and co.

Another, and perhaps more enticing option for Klopp, of course, would be to test his newfound front four of Diogo Jota, Mane, Salah, and Roberto Firmino. Even the thought of playing the attacking trident will fear Atalanta, who were torn apart last time out in the Champions League.

This time around, the Italians will look to remain defensively compact, especially at Anfield, against a Liverpool side they simply could not cope with last time- in the end conceding five goals to make it a miserable night.

As for Liverpool, even as the injuries grow, their ruthless ability to get over the line has been as prominent as ever in recent games. With the likes of Jota, Mane and the returning Mohamed Salah to call on, too, the Reds should see off Atalanta with ease once more.

Main Photo
Embed from Getty Images

After testing positive while away on international duty with Egypt, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has received a negative result in the latest round of COVID-19 testing. The original positive test kept him out of the game against Leicester City, but the Reds were not affected by his absence as they swept the Foxes aside by […]

[2,16,30,3,1
5101,1064,5014,95,1152,136
post-573008","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-liverpool","category-news","category-premier-league","category-uncategorized","tag-2020-2021-premier-league","tag-atalanta","tag-covid-19","tag-liverpool","tag-mohamed-salah","tag-world-football
["GET
