Brentford forward Marcus Forss<\/a> has caught the attention of German giants Borussia Dortmund, reports David Ornstein of the Athletic.<\/a> The West London club have seen a number of quality players come through their system in recent years<\/a>, and it seems that the side have once again produced a player who is destined for greatness.<\/p>\n

Brentford Forward Marcus Forss Is Yet to Start a Championship Game<\/h3>\n

The 21-year-old striker is yet to make a Championship<\/a> start this season, but has made nine appearances from the bench. He has been quite unfortunate that Brentford’s new signing, Ivan Toney<\/a>, has been so prolific since arriving from Peterborough United.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite this, his impact from the bench has been immense. He has netted four times, and is averaging a goal every 42 minutes,<\/a> but given Toney’s 10 goals already this season, it is unlikely that Forss will take Toney’s place in the near future.<\/p>\n

The most likely scenario in which the Finnish striker would start, would be if Brentford deploy two central strikers. But, The Bees do not tend to stray from their 4-3-3 formation that has brought them a great amount of success in recent years.<\/p>\n

Impressing on the International Stage Too<\/h3>\n

The Finnish forward has also managed to replicate his form in front of goal on the international stage. Despite not starting a league game, Forss was handed a full debut against France during the international break and repaid his manager’s faith by scoring the opening goal in his side’s 2-0 victory.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite the phenomenal win and Forss’ goal, he was named as a substitute in Finland’s two Nations League ties. He played 56 minutes across the two games combined, and once again impressed his country\u2019s fans.<\/p>\n

Finland have now qualified for the finals of Euro 2021, and Forss could play an instrumental part for his country. A move to Borussia Dortmund would certainly bolster his chances on the international stage.<\/p>\n
