Hungarian midfielder\u00a0Dominik Szoboszlai<\/a> is emerging as one of the top young players in the world. The RB Salzburg<\/a> player has been performing well for both club and country in 2020. If he continues on this path then he will most certainly be a star player in the near future.<\/p>\n

A Massive Moment for Hungary<\/h3>\n

At just 20, Szoboszlai has already produced a memorable moment for Hungary<\/a> that will be remembered forever. Against Iceland, he scored the match-winning goal that sent the European nation to the Euro 2021 finals next summer. This goal came in second-half stoppage time just as the match appeared it was destined for extra time and possibly even penalty kicks. Not many 20-year-old players are capable of scoring in high-pressure situations but Szoboszlai was not phased and took advantage of the opportunity with a cool and calm finish.<\/p>\n

This was just one of the latest great goals Szoboszlai has scored for Hungary at the senior level. In the opening match of the UEFA Nations League group stage, he scored a world-class free-kick goal against Turkey. It will certainly be regarded as one of the top goals of the entire competition.<\/p>\n

At Euro 2021, Szoboszlai will be one of the top young players to watch for during the competition. By then, he could already be with a new club but if not then all eyes will be on the Hungarian as high profile clubs will likely be looking to sign him during the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Producing at Club Level<\/h3>\n

While Szoboszlai is grabbing all the international headlines this week, his performances at the club level have also been equally as impressive. This season so far for Salzburg, he has recorded one goal and six assists<\/a> in seven Austrian Bundesliga appearances. In the UEFA Champions League<\/a>, Szoboszlai has scored in two of Salzburg’s three matches<\/a> in the group stage, which included a splendid strike against Lokomotiv Moscow on matchday one.<\/p>\n

Szoboszlai appears he is on the path to following in the footsteps of former Salzburg player Erling Braut Haaland. The Borussia Dortmund striker has been the latest former Salzburg player to find success upon leaving the club for a bigger league. With clubs such as Arsenal<\/a> reportedly showing interest<\/a> it may be soon rather than later for Szoboszlai to make a move to one of Europe’s best leagues.<\/p>\n

The continued progression of Szoboszlai’s career will be one to follow as he appears destined to become one of the top players of his generation. He’s proving capable of scoring in big moments and producing goals and assists consistently. Once he makes a move to a top league, Szoboszlai will have the opportunity to prove he has what it takes to consistently play at a high-level. Whether that’s at Arsenal or another high-profile club, the Hungarian talent is on a path to stardom.<\/p>\n
