Patrick Bamford<\/a> could be called up to the England squad ahead of upcoming international fixtures, according to The Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gareth Southgate<\/a> is reportedly waiting to discover the severity of a shoulder injury suffered by Marcus Rashford<\/a> during Manchester United<\/a>‘s victory at Everton<\/a> before deciding whether to hand the Leeds United<\/a> star his senior England debut.<\/p>\n

Patrick Bamford Could Be in Line for England Call-Up<\/h2>\n

Bamford is Loving Life in The Premier League<\/h3>\n

Former Chelsea<\/a> man Bamford has made a seamless adaptation to Premier League<\/a> football under Leeds manager Marco Bielsa. The striker was an integral component of a side that stormed to the EFL Championship title last season, scoring 16 goals in 45 games.<\/p>\n

Bamford is on track to better that tally in the top flight this campaign, having already netted seven times in just eight matches<\/a> in a whirlwind start to the new season.<\/p>\n

Such blistering early season form has not escaped the attention of England manager Gareth Southgate, who could reward Bamford with a maiden senior call-up at the age of 27.<\/p>\n

Southgate is no stranger to Bamford’s capabilities. The now-senior team boss handed the Leeds striker his England U21 debut back in November 2013.<\/p>\n

The England squad will gear up for Nations League fixtures against Belgium and Iceland with a home friendly against the Republic of Ireland on 12 November.<\/p>\n

Southgate Waiting on Rashford Fitness<\/h3>\n

Bamford may have to wait a little longer for his senior debut if Marcus Rashford is passed fit for his country’s upcoming games. A firm favourite of Southgate’s, Rashford boasts an impressive record of 11 England goals<\/a> across 39 appearances.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in Manchester United’s weekend victory at Goodison Park. His club manager,\u00a0Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a>, feels the injury came as a result of a fixture pile-up that could have been avoided<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to Bamford and Rashford, Southgate will be pleased to see that English forwards are performing to a very high level in the Premier League this season so far. Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> marksman Harry Kane<\/a> has already passed the 150 goal-mark in the top flight, while Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin<\/a> leads the way so far this season with\u00a0eight goals in as many games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Newcastle United <\/a>striker Callum Wilson<\/a> has found the net six times for his new club, while Aston Villa<\/a>‘s Ollie Watkins<\/a> also brought his total to six with a fine double away at Arsenal<\/a> at the weekend.<\/p>\n
