Pedro Neto<\/a> has signed a new contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a>, keeping him at the club until 2025.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old has become a key player since his arrival in 2019, and has started every Premier League<\/a> game this season.<\/p>\n

Neto Becomes Fourth Wolves Player to Sign New Deal This Season<\/h3>\n

Having lost key players such as Diogo Jota<\/a> ahead of the 2020\/21 season, Wolves are attempting to secure the futures of some of their most important figures.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Neto is the fourth first team star to agree to a new contract so far this campaign. The Portugal U21 international follows the likes of prolific goalscorer Raul Jimenez<\/a> in putting pen to paper<\/a> at Molineux.<\/p>\n

An impressive debut season at the midlands club in 2019\/20 saw Neto make 44 appearances<\/a> across all competitions. The versatile attacking midfielder scored five goals in that time, including an important equaliser in Wolves’ Europa League last-16 tie<\/a> with Greek giants Olympiakos. Such a telling contribution saw Neto named as the club’s young player of the season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Neto Delighted to Stay at ‘Amazing’ Wolves<\/h3>\n

Neto sat down with the Wolves official website<\/a> to discuss his new contract, and spoke of his passion for the club he joined last year.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been amazing being here. I love being here; the family that we are building, all the club, it\u2019s been fantastic for me, so I\u2019m very happy,” said the former Braga man<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“This new deal shows I\u2019m working very hard and I was expecting it because I worked for it. I always work to improve my game, so it comes with that. I work hard every day, so I\u2019m very happy about it, but I will continue to work now.<\/p>\n

“We say that nothing is given to you, so you have to work hard and what I have done in the last year-and-a-half is work hard every day, continue to improve and learn from my teammates.”<\/p>\n

Group Mentality Key to Wolves Progress<\/h3>\n

Despite a hugely productive first season at the club, Neto is keen to avoid resting on his laurels, and wants to continue building on his growing potential.<\/p>\n

“In my first [offical Wolves] interview, I said that I want to be the best, so I have to work every day because I have to compete with my teammates in a healthy way. I have to compete to play, to improve, and day by day I try to learn something”, said the 20-year-old.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been very good to be here and learn a lot with the coach, with my teammates, with everyone, and I will keep improving.<\/p>\n

“I think it\u2019s the good thing about this team, because we all think the same way; we\u2019re like a pack, like we say, so we work all to the same goals, all of us try to improve every day, because the way that we play is to improve. It\u2019s the mentality of the team and the mentality of the players that are taking this club to a higher level.”<\/p>\n
