Fantasy Premier League gameweek seven starts this Friday after quite a terrible gameweek six for many FPL managers. Read on for some tips to come back from last week’s disappointment.<\/p>\n
The deadline is on Friday once again so one has to keep that in mind. Players are picking up a lot of muscle injuries so surprise omissions will become more and more common this season. Having two regular starters at least on the bench may just be the way to go this season.<\/p>\n
Rui Patr\u00edcio<\/a> has a great chance of a clean sheet this week. However, Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> had perhaps a better fixture last week and still could not keep Newcastle United<\/a> out, so it is not a given.<\/p>\n Emiliano Mart\u00ednez<\/a> made six saves and scored three points in a 3-0 loss at home last week. The Argentine is the most-owned goalkeeper in Fantasy Premier League at the moment and that is not likely to change for a while. There is the potential for saves this week against Southampton<\/a> although a clean sheet looks unlikely.<\/p>\n It seems strange to propose a Chelsea<\/a> keeper for FPL but Edouard Mendy<\/a>\u00a0looks promising. He has kept clean sheets in both the matches he has started in the Premier League. If Frank Lampard<\/a> persists with three at the back, one can see Mendy shining. Chelsea’s next three fixtures look enticing as well.<\/p>\n Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Andrew Robertson\u00a0<\/a>disappointed their FPL owners once again last week. West Ham United<\/a> will not make things easy for them but the potential for big hauls is still there. Liverpool<\/a> have scored 11 goals in<\/a> West Ham United’s last three visits to Anfield. However, with so many injuries to contend with at the back, a clean sheet might be tough for them to keep.<\/p>\n Romain Sa\u00efss<\/a> and N\u00e9lson Semedo<\/a> are good options once again. However, Wilfried Zaha<\/a> will pose a big threat to their clean sheet hopes.<\/p>\n Jo\u00e3o Cancelo<\/a> looked quite threatening against West Ham\u00a0last week. He was involved in the attacking play quite a lot. With every defender of Manchester City,<\/a> the rotation risk is what repels FPL managers. However, the fact that he did not start against<\/a> Olympique de Marseille bodes well for him ahead of this week.<\/p>\n Ben Chilwell<\/a> looks indispensable to Chelsea<\/a> at the moment. He has settled into his new side effortlessly and is playing quite well also. Chilwell goes forward a lot and also takes set-pieces. He looks like a nice pick.<\/p>\n Son Heung-Min<\/a> continued his spectacular start to the season with yet another goal at Turf Moor on Monday night. The South Korean has a juicy home fixture this week against the Seagulls. This match could work out well for Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> as Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> try to play out from the back in every game which leaves them vulnerable to fast counters.<\/p>\n Mohamed Salah <\/a>and Sadio Man\u00e9<\/a> were both benched for the midweek Champions League match<\/a>. So, there is no risk of them not starting this one. As mentioned in last week’s article<\/a>, Salah\u00a0has scored 18 goals at home<\/a> out of his last 25 in the Premier League. Sadio Man\u00e9<\/a> has done better in the last couple of weeks but once again it’s the Egyptian king who will be expected to deliver the FPL goods. Diogo Jota<\/a> has done so well for Liverpool after signing this season but will he start again this week? West Ham\u00a0have performed well against the big sides this season so Liverpool might have to fight hard for the three points.<\/p>\n Manchester City travel to struggling Sheffield United<\/a> in a match where Raheem Sterling<\/a>,\u00a0 Riyad Mahrez<\/a> and Kevin De Bruyne\u00a0<\/a>will all be expected to do well. Things do not always work out like they are expected to though and Manchester City have not performed at their scintillating best so far this season.<\/p>\n Jack Grealish<\/a> has been pretty unlucky in the last couple of games. His FPL owners will be hoping for a big haul from him this week. Grealish is very active in the final third and Southampton will be wary of his threat.<\/p>\n Ademola Lookman<\/a> was desperately unlucky last week against Crystal Palace<\/a>. Agonizingly, the Fulham<\/a> midfielder hit the post twice. He has a decent fixture this week against West Bromwich Albion<\/a> to do some damage in.<\/p>\n Harry Kane<\/a> registered his eighth assist of the season last Monday. He has been amazing for Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> this season and this week he could go big. Kane is perhaps the strongest contender for the armband this week.<\/p>\n Raul Jim\u00e9nez scored a great goal last week. The Mexican keeps ticking away with nice points week after week and has a good-looking home fixture this week as well.<\/p>\n Dominic Calvert-Lewin<\/a> had his first blank of the season last week. He will try to get back on track this week in a fixture he has fond memories of. In fact,\u00a0Calvert-Lewin has scored three goals in his last two visits<\/a> to St. James’ Park.<\/p>\n Danny Ings<\/a> and Che Adams<\/a> both did well last week and are decent picks this week also.<\/p>\n Patrick Bamford<\/a> scored an amazing hattrick at Villa Park last Friday. He has taken the Premier League by storm. Leicester City<\/a> might be tired after their Europa League match so Bamford could do well in this fixture.<\/p>\n With the next three fixtures looking favourable, Timo Werner<\/a> could be a nice option to have.
