The story was then subsequently picked up by the British tabloid.<\/p>\n<h2>Paul Pogba Rejects Claims of French Team Exit<\/h2>\n<h3>Paul Pogba to Sue The Sun<\/h3>\n<p>Pogba, a practising Muslim,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CGzneJhDINP\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> took to Instagram to lament his frustration<\/a> at the claims \u2013 which he debunked as \u201cfake news\u201d. The Frenchman shared a screenshot of The Sun&#8217;s headline.<\/p>\n<p>The midfielder said that he will take legal action against the British tabloid for its defamatory story. The Sun has since taken down the original story.<\/p>\n<p>In his post on Instagram, Pogba wrote: \u201cSo The Sun did [it] again. Absolutely 100% unfounded news about me are going around, stating things I have never said or thought\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am appalled, angry, shocked and frustrated some \u2018media\u2019 sources use me to make total fake headlines in the sensible subject of French current events and adding my religion and the French National Team to the pot.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Macron&#8217;s Polemical Attack on Islam<\/h3>\n<p>The Sun&#8217;s report alleged that Pogba was left angry at president Macron&#8217;s words, in which he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-europe-54383173\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vowed to take on \u201cIslamic separatism&#8221;<\/a>, following the beheading of schoolteacher Samuel Paty \u2013 outside his school in a northern Parisian suburb.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Paty had shown his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a lesson on free speech. The depictions in question were originally published by French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
